Personality Tamatar is a friendly and calm dog who likes both company and quiet time. She can be aloof with other dogs and only plays when in the mood. She loves to be scratched and enjoys belly rubs. Tamatar is heavily food motivated and loves treats. She enjoys sitting inside small areas that she frequently gets stuck in, such as pots and boxes.

At KAW, all dogs live in a kennel-free environment and co-exist with the 120+ dogs at the shelter. As the shelter currently works only with dogs, we cannot comment on the behaviour around cats, other small animals, or the prey drive. Once moved into a home there can be a shift in behaviour due to the new environment and personalized attention.
