HOW TO BECOME A VIRTUAL PARENT

Why we need your support

  • What started in 2015 with just 10 residents has now become a safe haven for 250+ animals, with more than 1,000 lives cared for over the last 11 years.
  • Every single week, we receive 100–200 desperate calls to help animals in need—many abandoned, injured, or with no chance of finding a home.
  • For the 250 souls who currently depend on us every day, sponsorships are what keep their bowls full, their treatments going, and their shelter safe.
  • Your support is not just a donation—it is food, medicine, safety, and love. It can change their entire world.

How Long-Term Sponsorship Works

Your sponsorship directly supports your chosen dog while also helping all the other animals in our care, as all funds go into a common support pool.

Your contribution helps us:

  • Provide daily meals and clean drinking water
  • Maintain safe and comfortable kennels and shelter spaces
  • Keep bedding, blankets, and recovery areas clean
  • Support our dedicated staff who care for the animals every day
  • Cover daily supplements, medicines, and essential care needs
  • Provide lifelong care for animals who cannot be rehomed

Every contribution helps us ensure that every animal at KAW receives the love, safety, and care they deserve.

Happy Stories

Tinda’s Story
Tinda’s Story

Tinda came to us in 2016 in a very poor condition. She was suffering from a severe skin infection and needed immediate care and treatment. Our team started her treatment and slowly, with love and medical support, she began to recover. Since that day, Tinda has been living with us. Over the years, she has become a part of our family and has received the care, safety, and comfort every animal deserves.

Her journey would not have been possible without the kindness of a generous sponsor who chose to support her. Because of this support, we have been able to take care of Tinda for all these years. It has now been 10 beautiful years with Tinda, and she continues to live a safe and loved life with us. We are deeply grateful to the kind person who made her journey possible.

Suvira’s Story
Suvira’s Story

Suvira was abandoned and found in a very poor condition. She was extremely weak and starving when we rescued her, struggling to survive on the streets without proper food or care. Our team brought her to safety and started giving her proper food, medical treatment, and lots of love. Slowly, Suvira began to recover and regain her strength.

Today, Suvira is a strong and beautiful girl living safely with us. She does have a kidney issue and needs regular medical care and monitoring, but she continues to stay happy and comfortable under our care. She continues to live a safe and loving life with us. We are deeply grateful to the kind person who made her journey possible.

Bala’s Story
Bala’s Story

Bala came to us in a paralysed condition. For a paralysed dog, surviving on the streets is extremely difficult, as they cannot move properly to find food or protect themselves.

When Bala arrived, our medical team tried every possible treatment to help him recover. Unfortunately, even after all the treatments, there was no scope for recovery, and Bala remained paralysed. Because of his condition, it was impossible for him to go back to the streets. So we decided to keep Bala with us as our permanent resident. Since then, Bala has been living safely with us. Despite his condition, he is a very happy and cheerful kid, enjoying a peaceful life with love, care, and comfort every day.

FAQ’s

KAW is a critical care rescue unit, with our primary focus on medical treatment, emergency rescue, and lifelong care for animals in need.

We are a small team and strive to provide one detailed update every month before the 15th.

If there is any important medical development, emergency, or major milestone concerning your sponsored dog, we will share that update separately.

In the future, as we expand and build a dedicated sponsorship management team, we hope to provide more frequent updates.

Our endeavour is always to find individual sponsors for each resident. However, there may be instances where more than one person wishes to support the same dog.

This additional support helps us care for the unsponsored pool of residents who also depend on us every day.

If your sponsored dog is successfully rehomed or sadly passes away, we will always write to you and keep you informed.

Your sponsorship can then be transferred to another resident in need, so your support continues to make a meaningful difference.
