She Needs Surgery, But We Have to Make Her Strong Enough First
Kali came to us in pain, suffering from a hernia that is causing her severe discomfort.
She needs surgery to correct the hernia and finally relieve her suffering.
But there is another challenge.
Kali’s blood tests have revealed that her platelet count is dangerously low, making it unsafe for her to undergo surgery right now.
Operating with such low platelet levels could put her at serious risk, so our veterinary team is currently focused on stabilising her and improving her condition before proceeding further.
The next 1–2 days are extremely important for Kali.
She is receiving medication, supportive treatment and close monitoring in the hope that her platelet count improves enough for her surgery to be planned safely.
If her condition stabilises as we hope, we will proceed with her hernia surgery as soon as possible.
Until then, we are doing everything we can to manage her discomfort and prepare her body for the treatment she urgently needs.

Right now, we are fighting two battles for her — first, getting her platelet levels up and making her strong enough for surgery, and then treating the painful hernia that has been causing her so much discomfort.

Kali’s platelet count is currently too low for surgery to be performed safely. Improving and stabilising her platelet levels is our immediate priority.
Stabilisation & Medical Treatment
Our veterinary team is providing medication and supportive treatment while closely monitoring Kali’s platelet count and overall condition.
Hernia Surgery
Once Kali’s platelet levels improve sufficiently and she is stable enough for anaesthesia and surgery, we hope to proceed with her hernia operation at the earliest possible opportunity.
