A Painful Swelling Has Left Charlie Unable to Open His Eyes
Charlie is suffering from a large, hard swelling on his forehead. Three wounds have developed over the swollen area, and discharge is continuously coming from them. The swelling has become so severe that Charlie is unable to open his eyes.
X-rays have revealed that the underlying skull bone is also involved. At this stage, the veterinary team suspects that the swelling could be caused by a tumour or by a serious infection linked to a fracture of the skull bone.
Samples from the affected area are being sent for further diagnostic testing. These reports are essential to establish the exact cause of Charlie’s condition and determine the correct course of treatment.
The coming days will be crucial for Charlie. He needs detailed investigations, medication, wound management, supportive care and further treatment based on his diagnostic reports.

Samples from the swelling and discharging wounds are being sent for laboratory testing to determine whether Charlie’s condition is cancerous or the result of a serious infection.
