Brownie was rescued after she developed severe pain and inflammation in her right eye. Although her condition is causing significant discomfort, the good news is that her vision is still intact. With prompt treatment and continued veterinary care, we are hopeful that her eyesight can be preserved.
During her medical evaluation, blood tests also revealed that her platelet count is slightly low, indicating the early stages of tick fever. If left untreated, tick fever can become life-threatening, making immediate medical intervention essential.
Our veterinary team has already started her treatment, including medication for her eye, blood investigations, and supportive care. Brownie will require continued monitoring, medication, and follow-up treatment to ensure she makes a complete recovery.
