OUR FOUNDER

Our founder, Vandana Anchalia, left a flourishing corporate career of nearly 14 years to dedicate herself fully to Kannan Animal Welfare. What began as a small intent to help animals has now grown into a thriving organization with a permanent sanctuary in Sohna and a medical unit in Noida. Coming from a small town in Assam with no prior background in animal care or training in animal welfare, Vandana’s empathy and love for animals have driven her to save the lives of thousands of dogs. To date, over a hundred of these dogs have found homes and families abroad. She has single-handedly grown this organization with her vision and continues to incorporate best practices, ensuring that more and more people understand and are vocal about her belief that each rescue deserves quality and standard treatment.
