How to start a fundraiser for a cause in four steps

Set a goal. Pick an amount that feels reachable for your circle. A few thousand rupees feeds a lot of dogs; a bigger goal can cover a serious rescue. We’ll help you land on a number and tell you exactly what it pays for.

Share your link and your story. Post why this matters to you, tag KAW, and send it round on WhatsApp, Instagram, wherever your people already are. Your story is what makes them give.

Our supporters already do this. People sponsor a meal at KAW to mark birthdays, anniversaries, festivals, and the memory of someone they loved. You’d be in good company.
What your fundraiser actually pays for Every rupee you raise goes into real care.
Food comes first. KAW feeds 256 resident animals at the Kapashera sanctuary and more than 200 street animals across Delhi-NCR every single day, weekends and festivals included. Then there’s rescue and treatment for dogs hit by cars or fighting infection, spay and neuter drives that shrink the street-dog crisis at its source, and lifelong shelter for the animals who can never be rehomed.
To make it concrete: 300 rupees feeds 10 dogs, 1,500 rupees feeds 50, and 6,000 rupees covers a full day of meals at one of our centres. Your total might be one dog’s surgery or a month of bowls. Either way, you’ll know what it did.

Yes. Every Indian donor who gives to your KAW fundraiser can claim 80G tax benefit — they just add their PAN when donating. Overseas donors give through our US 501(c)(3) for their own tax benefit.
No. Set whatever goal feels reachable for your circle. A small goal that gets met beats a big one that stays empty, and you can always raise it once donations start landing.
That’s completely fine. Every rupee still feeds and treats real animals. No penalty, no pressure — whatever you raise helps a dog eat or heal.
Yes. Friends and family abroad can give through our US 501(c)(3), and KAW has already rehomed 180+ dogs overseas, so our supporters are genuinely worldwide.
