From Abandoned to Forever Loved
Leo, a gentle village dog, first came to us with a painful wound on his foot that made every step difficult. After receiving treatment and recovering well, he was sent back to his caretaker to continue healing.
Sadly, the people who were meant to care for him abandoned him.
Alone and with nowhere else to go, Leo somehow found his way back to our shelter. From that moment, we made him a promise—he would never have to face life alone again. Leo became a permanent resident at KAW, where he will always be safe, loved, and cared for.
Recently, our veterinary team discovered a soft growth on his thigh. Following medical investigations, it was diagnosed as a mast cell tumor. Leo has since undergone successful surgery to remove the tumor and is now recovering under close veterinary supervision.
His journey, however, is far from over. Leo requires continued medication, wound management, follow-up consultations, and regular monitoring to ensure a smooth recovery and to detect any recurrence at the earliest.
With your support, we can give Leo every chance to recover and continue living the happy, pain-free life he deserves.
