Left Injured On The Roadside For 24 Hours
Nirad’s life changed in an instant when he was struck by a speeding vehicle and left helpless on the roadside. Injured, terrified, and unable to move, he lay there suffering for nearly 24 hours before our rescue team was finally able to reach him and bring him to safety.
Medical examination has revealed that Nirad has suffered a pelvic bone fracture. In addition, he is showing reduced reflexes in his left hind leg, while the reflexes in his right leg remain normal. This has raised concerns about a possible spinal nerve injury, which is currently being closely monitored by our veterinary team.
For now, strict rest is the primary treatment for his pelvic fracture. We will continue treatment and supportive care over the next few days while carefully assessing his neurological response and determining the extent of any nerve damage.
After spending an entire day lying injured and unable to help himself, Nirad is finally safe. However, his recovery will require medical care, pain management, monitoring, and rehabilitation.
